As part of measures by the Lagos state Government and the Nigerian Government to curtail the spread of the Corona Virus, a Lockdown was demanded in Lagos State, Ogun State and Abuja City by Government.
For almost two months now, Nigeria and the entire World had gone on a standstill due to the Corona Disease outbreak, which many had believed started in a place called Wuhan in China. The Spread of the Disease has now climbed an out of hand scale in most part of the World.
Alot of Nigerians had revoked this and disagreed on this due to their epileptic and unstable sources of their incomes. This had resulted in the sabotage, pelting and gang up by the street people against Enforcement Officers strategically positioned to ensure compliance of the Lockdown Law.
One of such ugly event occurred today at Agege, (Hausa Community), Lagos State, Nigeria. Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, (LASEPA) and Lagos State Safety Commission, journalists and police officers went on check up visit to a Agege Central Mosque. The Mosque was filled to capacity, as worshippers were carrying out their last evening Prayers.
The Enforcement Officers asked for the Chief Imam of the Mosque, since there was no viable response, the next in Rank was seemed and in an ugly to this, the Worshippers went restive, shouting ”Alahu Akkbar” chased and mobbed some of the Officers carrying dangerous objects. The Enforcement Officers and Journalists had to scamper for safety.
